About
My name is TJ Swing and I am the author and creator of this weblog. This site was created as a means to publish many of my own and my company’s thought, ideas and comments on anything pertaining to web development and the technologies that support it.
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and currently live here now. I have been working with web development since 1998, when I wrote my first “Hello World” Html website. Here are a few quick notes about my background.
About Day Old Cake
At first, Day Old Cake was just a domain that was purchased because it sounded funny and was available. After awhile, I wanted an outlet to publish some of my technical learnings and experiences with the world and get feedback from other developers and designers. It was then that the Day Old Cake domain finally became useful. I set up a WordPress blog app with the domain and then tooka day to style it the way I wanted, then began filling it with all of the stuff floating around my head.
Many of these articles are for sharing my learnings and ideas, others are written to spark a dialogue and gain feedback, and yet others are just there to serve as resources for others to use.
